Jeremiah 42:1-3
In this passage, the people expressed desire to hear from God and to be told specifically what to do. They asked, “Pray that the Lord your God will tell us where we should go and what we should do.” Even though our circumstances are different, we too are in such a place and time where we also need to hear specifically from God regarding our search process for the new Senior Pastor at Sycamore. And unlike the Israelites of this time, who decided not to obey the Lord’s command because they did not like what they heard, we pray that we will ask with sincere hearts, that we will clearly hear His voice and that we will follow wholeheartedly His lead.
