I grew up in Midlothian, attended Midlothian High School, and received a B.A. in History and a minor in Communications Studies from Christopher Newport University. It was during my time as a CNU Captain that I was supported by a Christ-centered community of friends and truly found my rhythm with the Lord. I became a Young Life Leader at Warwick High School, held several church-based internships in North Carolina and Virginia, and consistently pursued students with the hope that through a friendship, they would hear and believe the Gospel.
It is an unexpected, yet beautiful gift to be back in the place where I was raised. As Assistant Director of Youth and Discipleship at Sycamore, it is a blessing to see how God is working in and through the lives of our middle and high school students. You’ll find me planning youth events, leading Bible studies, encouraging prayer, and directing our communicative efforts.
In my spare time, I love to read, write, knit, go to the movies, share good food with friends, find the best sales on clothes, cheer for the Washington Capitals and Nashville Predators, and care for those in my community. Count it all joy and go glorify, friends!
