Outdoor Service
Resuming March 7th
The outside service starts at 11:00 AM. No registration.
Please try to arrive a little early to have time to get situated.
Ushers will help direct you where to park/sit.
We are located at 510 Coalfield Rd, across the street from J. B. Watkins Elementary School.
Please bring your own chairs/blankets if you are sitting on the grass.
If you are sitting on the grass, we are recommending everyone 5 years and older wear a mask if you are able. We will have some masks available if you don’t have one. Masks are recommended but not required since we are meeting outside.
Yes! A parking lot attendant will direct you to the right space where you can see the worship leaders. Just turn on your radio and tune it to 90.9 FM.
Our worship service is “creatively traditional.” We sing modern and traditional songs and hymns in a blended style, led by instruments like piano, guitars, percussion, and woodwinds. We confess our sins. We preach from the Bible, letting it set the agenda for what we should learn. We pray prayers of all kinds. We declare what we believe with the Bible and the creeds.
Come as you are! We will be outside in the cold – dress accordingly!
Normally, you’ll find everyone dressed in a variety of styles from casual to dressy. Some of us wear our “Sunday best” because it reminds us that meeting with the one holy God is a sacred and important privilege. Some of us dress more casually because it reminds us that we do not bring anything to God to earn his favor; it is His free gift through Jesus.
We love kids! Sycamore is a church family and a church filled with families! The sounds of children in the church delight us because they are the sounds of young people learning about God and how to worship Him.
Currently, we do not have kids Sunday School, Nursery, but we do have a Kid’s Worship during the 11:00 AM outside service. We hope to offer child care again soon when we can do it safely!
For those with special needs, we are happy to set up our Sensory Room provided by our Through the Roof ministry (just let us know you’re coming so we can set up the room!).
Yes! Please come with your little one. If you are looking for more privacy, there is a Mother’s Room inside the sanctuary, for the inside service. Room 2 (High School Room) is set up for you during the outside service, just inside the side doors in view of the stage.
