Psalm 127

With the message of verse 1 in mind, we pray that the Lord be the one building and watching over Sycamore during this time of change and transition. And verse 2 reminds us, lest we forget, that worrying accomplishes nothing. It is much more productive to work hard and to pray hard in our task of finding a new senior pastor knowing that if we “get tired in God’s work, but we do not get tired of God’s work, the Lord who gives us the strength to work, also gives us the rest we need.” (Be Exultant, Warren Wiersbe, p.164)

And knowing that children are a heritage from the Lord, we pray that God would bless Sycamore with many, many children attending Children’s church, Sunday school, VBS, and all the church activities designed to make them like arrows in the hand of a warrior. We pray that they may grow to know and love the truth and be ready to fight the battles against sinfulness and ungodliness in the years ahead. Please join us in this prayer.
