The Women’s Ministry seeks to equip women to:
Understand and grow in their relationship with Christ.
To find ways to fulfill Christ’s purpose in their lives.
To reach beyond themselves to minister to others in our church family and broader community.

Sharing a meal is a wonderful way to deepen relationships with fellow women in our church family. We often eat lunch together after Wednesday morning bible study. A restaurant location is announced that morning and all are invited to join!
Summer is for reading a good book and enjoying time together. Throughout the summer we hold small group discussions on a relevant Christian topic and meet in different homes. More information to come for Summer 2021!
We love to celebrate babies at Sycamore! It is a special time filled with food, games, and lots of laughter. Announcements will be shared with the church congregation about upcoming baby showers.
Every year the Women’s Ministry Team hosts a Fall in-town weekend retreat.
Our Fall 2020 Retreat has been postponed to Fall of 2021. We hope you will join us then!
The retreat is filled with rich time together, prayer, worship, discussion and teaching. Come enjoy laughter, good food and strengthened friendships. Saturday afternoon offers a block of free time for one-on-one meet ups, group activities, or individual time with God.
If any woman attending or visiting Sycamore is in need of some one-on-one prayer time, a member of the Women’s Ministry team is available to meet with them. Please contact Mary Moore either by phone (804-794-8655) or by email ([email protected]) and she will arrange a time for prayer with you.
Throughout the year, we offer other opportunities to serve and spend time with other women in the church as well as others in the community. Announcements about these opportunities are made through Ministry Moments or our church newsletter. Stay tuned!
"Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing."
