At this time in our search process, it is good and necessary to stop and give thanks to God for how He is leading and guiding us, and acknowledge His greatness, much like David did in this passage. We are here as a committee working on the building of God’s Kingdom because God has been faithful to His promise to David – what an amazing thought! In this passage, God is telling David, “You have a plan but it is not my plan…” As the Search Committee, seeking to know and understand God’s plan is critical and vital to our work of finding the next man God has chosen to lead Sycamore. Continue to pray for us in this endeavor.
