Lyrics:
(1.) Let us draw near the table, let us repent
Before we receive this sacrament.
Oh may we confess all our sins unto Christ
And strive to be like him in all parts of life.
(2.) Let us draw near the table, let us forgive
Any brother or sister whose wrongs we relive.
For God forgave us even while we yet sinned.
So let us do likewise, may anger be dimmed.
(3.) Let us draw near the table, let us sing praise
To Jesus, whose life and death made a way
To cover our sins with his own righteousness,
And take them as far as the east is from west.
(4.) Let us draw near the table, let us give thanks,
Together with all the heavenly ranks:
That Christ he is risen, and death he defied;
He sits at the right hand of God, glorified.
(5.) Let us draw near the table, let us accept
This gift of God’s mercy and full forgiveness.
For we are more sinful than we ever could know,
But loved by him more than we ever dare hope.
