Internship Details
The Roots Student Ministry is the student ministry of
Sycamore Presbyterian Church, is committed to connecting with students and helping them grow in the grace of Jesus Christ. Focused on relational equity, the ministry uses its programs to deepen connections with students.
Teaching is exegetical, topical, and prayerful, aiming for the Gospel to impact students' lives. As a ministry of prayer and care, we stand by our students in life's highs and lows.
We emphasize Scripture study, providing students the skills to engage with the Bible on their own. Acknowledging students as full church members, Roots ensures they receive the same respect, care, and equipping every church member deserves.
The Roots Student ministry aims to teach students the beautiful story of redemption contained in the scriptures. We are confessional, reformed, and look towards Christ in all that we do.
The internship dates are from June 5th - August 4th with a mandatory intern retreat from June 5th-8th focusing on training and team-building, as well as covering the summer calendar and basics of student ministry. The application deadline is April 5th, 2024.
