About This Week's Liturgy
Worship is food; it is nourishment for the soul. In worship, the Holy Spirit fulfills his promises to the church as one body of believers to bless us through the Word of God, prayer, and the sacraments. It is not mere ritual, it is the very means by which God loves and perfects His people (Ephesians 4:11-13). The bible tells us that “man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.” (Deuteronomy 8:3) And, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied” (Matthew 5:6). Jesus is the Bread of Life and the Fountain of Life. Let us run to Him to eat and drink!
