It has been a true blessing to serve the church I have attended since I was a child. Sycamore has been a second home and family to me for most of my life. It has been such a joy to serve the Lord by providing a loving, supportive environment for young families and women that points to Jesus’ perfect, unconditional love.
I was born in Elkridge, Maryland and moved to Midlothian at four years old. Shortly after attending Sycamore I became a member and continued to grow in the church. I graduated from J. Sargeant Reynolds with a degree in Early Childhood Development while teaching preschool at The Goddard School on Robious Road. I also enjoyed serving as a Sunday School teacher for elementary age children and a Discipleship Group leader for Middle and High School girls. I then worked at Trans States Airlines (United/U.S. Airways regional airline) as a flight attendant. My second year at the company I became a check flight attendant, where I trained and tested new flight attendants to operate the aircraft. It has been wonderful to see God’s hand in my life using education all along the way… even as a flight attendant! After that, I began working at Sycamore and have had the joy of serving here for over 10 years!
It is such a joy watching kids learn and slowly understand the gospel and how much they are loved by the Creator of the Universe. I also love seeing women build friendships with other women in the church through fellowship and serving together. Sycamore was such a loving, supportive, Christ-centered church for me while growing up, and I pray to continue providing that same sense of family for the children and women of Sycamore!
I enjoy going out with friends to grab coffee in the mornings or grabbing a bite to eat at different local restaurants. I also love to travel around the world either for fun or for missions trips!
